We also offer the JTL Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Certificate as an online training programme. This provides learners with the flexibility to work through the material at their own speed from their home or workplace. The online programme covers four units, incorporates teaching presentations, supporting pool plant videos and regular assessments, and has suggested guided learning of approximately 15 hours.

Pool Water Treatment and Plant Operation

Effective pool operation involves considerably more than simply carrying out routine water tests. More advanced elements of the training address maintaining good pool water quality, water balance, incoming mains water, operational procedures, infections associated with swimming pool water, pool-related emergencies, microbiology, pool design basics, hydraulics, heating, ventilation, energy use and practical problem solving.

Training for Schools, Hotels and Hydrotherapy Pools

Not every pool operates in the same environment, which is why we also provide specialist training for operators of smaller commercial pools, school pools, hotel pools and hydrotherapy pools. Our JTL School, Hotel and Hydrotherapy Pool Operator Training Programme has been developed specifically for people such as school caretakers, therapists, engineers and operators who need pool plant knowledge suited to these types of facilities.
